Essentials 

If you forgot it, they’ve got it. A shop located in the lobby of the National Hotel, Essentials carries a full line of health and beauty aids, pharmaceuticals (including Dramamine), sunscreen, disposable cameras, batteries, postcards and island maps. A terrific selection of convenience foods, as well as cigarettes and a wide selection of imported cigars. Essentials is open later than any shop on the Block: Daily, 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
